There are many Microsoft Excel resources and tutorials online but when I started in the Accounting and Finance field 10 years ago as a junior I found it a royal pain in the ass to sift through all the excel info just to find that which relates to my Finance field. I had to refer to many online resources simultaneously just to get what I needed and ended up wasting a lot of time both on the job and off the job (mostly on the job...) learning all the ins and outs of excel.
I am a CMA (certified management accountant) and in my last job as a Finance Manager I worked very extensively with excel, creating elaborate Financial Models using Microsoft Excel. That role really forced me to get up-close and personal with excel and now that I have moved on from that role I thought 'why not do a brain dump of everything I picked up and learned about Excel?'. I am starting this blog with the hopes of creating a consolidated go-to resource for using excel, aimed towards those in the Finance and Accounting fields.
I love feedback, no wait, I crave feedback! Comment or email with anything you have on your mind!
Let the Excel Brain-Dump begin...
